Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! Sheba and I are in Lexington for the week. We've already had Christmas with my mom's family (my mom's parents, two of my grandmother's sisters and my mom's younger brother and his family). My cousin Callie has a daughter the same age as my niece - watching the two of them play is a great reminder of the good times that Callie and I used to have. Yesterday we had our own family Christmas. As usual, everyone did too much. My parents and I went to a Christmas Eve service last night and then tried, and failed, to find an open grocery store. This afternoon my dad's youngest sister and my three cousins are coming over. They love to play board games and I've got a new one (Apples and Apples) for us to try. My dad is hoping that it will warm up enough for him to mow the yard - how's that for a Christmas Day activity? There are pictures here.

Tomorrow my parents and I are going to go tour the Wild Turkey Bourbon Distillery and then catch a movie. On Thursday, I will be visiting with some of my old college friends. And then on Friday, Sheba and I will be driving back to Florida. It has all gone too quickly.

I hope that everyone is enjoying a break from work and time with family.
