New Year's Hike

OK, so this post is a little delayed. My New Year's resolution was to enjoy the great outdoor opportunities here in Florida each weekend. So far I haven't been very successful, but I did go for a great hike at Manatee Springs State Park on the first weekend of the year. I went there with the intention of kayaking (didn't pan out) or at LEAST seeing some manatees (also unsuccessful), but at least it was sunny and warm with clear blue skies. And I saw some deer. There are more photos here.

It seems like most of the other weekends have been rainy or I've had a bunch of errands to run, so I haven't had any other fun outdoor adventures yet. One weekend I re-worked my kitchen by buying two utility carts and buying some new, smaller, appliances. This freed up my folding table (which was my OLD appliance cart) so that I could work a nice jigsaw puzzle. With Cassie's "help", of course. I'm excited about buying a HUGE dining room table when I get situated in Iowa and working a 2500 piece puzzle. My current table just isn't large enough for anything larger than 1000 pieces.
Hopefully I'll have some more outdoor adventures to post soon. And hopefully everyone had a Happy Valentine's Day! My big Valentine's Day treat this year was Sheba's heart-themed scarf from her last grooming visit. So cute!
